ET: are you in US computers?
I first came across Gary McKinnon courtesy of a ThinkingShift reader obsessed with UFOs. He sent me a link to the YouTube video in this post, which shows McKinnon talking about how “secret” UFO technology could be used to save us from impending energy crises. McKinnon is a bit of a geek and apparently he hacked into the not-so-secure supercomputers of NASA, the Pentagon and other US military agencies in an attempt to uncover evidence of extra-terrestrials and their technology.
He is a self-taught computer nerd and hacked into the computers (get this) from his girlfriend’s aunt’s house in London with a 56k low-speed dial-up connection. Note to US Government: your supercomputers are looking pretty lame at this point of the story! McKinnon maintains that “secretive” parts of the US Government are sitting on anti-gravity technology for example and claims he found evidence of extra-terrestrial landings.
Naturally, the Yanks are up in arms about all this and are demanding his extradition to the US to face charges and he may be thrown into jail for 60 years. Now the House of Lords has become involved because there’s a question about whether McKinnon would be a victim of an abuse of process (well, you have to wonder when you read that US authorities have allegedly said they’d like McKinnon to “fry”).
Quite fascinating to watch this YouTube video of McKinnon being interviewed and explaining how he did the hacking (seems it wasn’t that hard):
He controlled every computer that had a blank administrator password (Note to US Government: watch the video!) and searched for files about what the Americans really know about the extra-terrestrial question. While McKinnon was busy hacking in, he could see a list of other hackers around the world doing the same thing. Here’s what he says he found out:
- there’s a group called the Disclosure Project, which published a book with expert witness testimony of 400 people ranging from airtraffic controllers to military radar operators who say that the Americans have captured space craft and reverse engineered the technology. I’m not saying this is impossible but surely aliens would have far more advanced technology than us and so how do you reverse engineer something you don’t understand? And where’s the book – can we borrow it?
- NASA has regularly air-brushed out images of UFOs from high-resolution satellite images
- he claims he remotely viewed an image from NASA (and in NASA formatting) that showed a cigar-shaped object above Earth’s atmosphere with a geodesic dome at both ends of the object (he didn’t keep a copy of the image: seems he didn’t know about taking a screen shot?!!).
The chap seems quite ordinary (ie sane) when you view the YouTube video. There’s a site called Free Gary McKinnon reporting on the battle that seems to be going on between US prosecutors and the House of Lords. The House of Lords has the power to turn down an extradition if it believes there will be an abuse of process. McKinnon’s legal team are set to take the fur fight to the European Court of Human Rights (mmmm…perhaps they’ll meet the Swedish Government there because someone ought to haul them before this Court for the FRA Law).
I’m not sure what McKinnon did or did not actually download in the way of evidence of extra-terrestrials but sure would love to know what he saw. Is is just me or does McKinnon’s photo look a bit alienish?
