Camera head

I would love to do something like this in Australia! The American Civil Liberties Union has been working with an artist on the Camerahead Project. The idea is to raise awareness of the issues with surveillance cameras in public spaces. Dudes walk around the streets or pop up in public parks wearing huge surveillance camera props on their heads.

The exaggeration of the “camera head” highlights the invasiveness and insidiousness of surveillance cameras and for me the black suits are a great play on the Men in Black – shadowy government officials working behind the scenes snooping on us.
